Mivvy wingmates, Katrina Briers and Michelle Dowsett, joined me last Sunday 26th January to take in the rather overcast and chilly sights of Canterbury in our clients Furley Page Solicitors Canterbury 10 Mile Road Race.
Training was tough after copious amounts of mince pies and the icy weather but we finished in a very respectable 1hr and 45 minutes, despite the harsh winds and undulating course through the countryside.
We were raising money for the Demelza Charity, Hospice Care for Children. A charity that is close to our hearts. There is still time to help us hit the £200 target so any donations would be gratefully received via the link here.
We were treated to amazing hospitality from Hampton by Hilton Canterbury with a great night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast before the event. If you haven’t visited before the hotel offers charming rooms in the heart of the City and even showcases the remains of a Roman theatre through a glass panel in the floor of the reception!
The icing on the cake for me though was that the logo we designed to celebrate Furley Page’s 300th-year anniversary proudly adorned the medal and all the promotional materials. 🎖️
