Do you have a big idea for your large-format project?

Before you embark on designing your large-format project, here are some things to bear in mind:

The objective – What do you want to achieve, what audience are you communicating to and what is the key message you want to convey?

High-quality assets – Large format printing is well, erm, large! So you may require higher quality files for the best finish.

Think about the environment – Consider lighting, the weather, as well as the surface material where the graphics will be installed as this may impact the design and the materials that can be used for production.

Stay on brand – Ensure the design is consistent with your brand colours, fonts and logos so your brand is recognised. Ensure your logos are vector so they can be scaled up in size without losing quality as well.

Longevity – Consider how your graphics can be repurposed on a smaller scale or in a different format. Is it easy to update them in the future with alternate text or images?

Have a clear process for feedback and approval before the final product is produced, and ensure you sign off on a proof to triple-check the content and printing quality.

If all of this sounds like gobbledygook, then fire us an email or drop us a line and we’ll help you out!

Hoarding for Ascend Co working

This month, we were privileged to be involved in an inspiring transformation project at The Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham. The project was carried out on behalf of award-winning fit-out and refurbishment contractor, Form. Working alongside large format print and signage specialist Immersive, Mivvy leant its expertise to cover an enormous, 90-metre hoarding promoting the soon-to-launch Ascend Coworking space. Our partnership with Immersive has served us well over the years and is testament to collaboration to reach the best result.

Seeing the huge repurposing of retail space that will no doubt breathe new life into the area was an honour for us to have played a small part in.

We wish Ascend Coworking every success with the launch in Autumn and thank both Form and Immersive for trusting us to deliver such an enormous project.
